How to Spa

The following is a guide with answers to frequently asked questions by guests who wish to visit ESPA at the g.

APPOINTMENTS
Advance booking is required for both treatments and Thermal Suite therapy. Please book by contacting our spa team on [email protected] or call 091 778454. Non-resident bookings must be secured with a credit card.

ARRIVAL TIME
For guests booked for ESPA treatments of 55 minutes or more, you are encouraged to arrive at least 1hr prior to your appointment to enjoy our facilities. Should you choose not to make use of the Thermal Suite, please arrive 15 minutes prior to your appointment so your treatment can begin promptly at its scheduled time.

Please advise that late arrivals will result in a reduction of treatment time. Please allow plenty of time for parking, especially at weekends.

WHAT TO WEAR
Swimwear is required in the Thermal Suite. Residents are required to change into their swimwear in their room and avail of the robe and slippers provided in your room. Non residents will have a robe and slippers provided as well as a locker to store your clothing.

CANCELLATION POLICY
Please be advised that credit card details or gift cards must be provided to secure any ESPA booking. All ESPA bookings are pre-charged in full 48 hours prior to arrival using the card or gift card provided at the time of booking. Please note failure to process card details or gift cards that were given at the time of booking will result in the appointment time being cancelled and released. We have a 48 hour cancellation policy in place. All bookings cancelled within the 48 hour window will be charged in full. Should you need to cancel your booking, please note that cancellation notice is required in writing to [email protected]. ESPA at the g Hotel unfortunately cannot accept cancellations via telephone. Please note any booking made inside of the cancellation timeframe are still subject to the same 48 hour cancellation policy.

 

advise of any cancellations no later than 24hrs prior to your appointment. 50% cancellation charge will apply for any treatments cancelled within 24hrs. 100% charge will incur if your cancellation is within 12hrs.

AGE REQUIREMENTS
Our spa is an adult area only. All guests visiting the ESPA at the g must be aged 18 or over.

HEALTH CONDITIONS
We ask you to advise us of any health conditions, allergies or injuries which could affect your treatment when arranging your reservation. You will also be asked to complete a guest card on arrival so please allow time for this when visiting ESPA at the g for the first time.

MOBILE PHONES
Our spa is an environment of tranquillity. Please respect all spa guests’ right to privacy and serenity. We ask you to turn off your mobile phone whilst in the spa. The Relaxation Lounge is a silent area, we ask you to relax and enjoy the silence.

PARKING
The elevator will stop at the ground floor and you will require a key card from reception to access the first floor spa area. Please allow plenty of time for parking, especially at weekends.

PREGNANCY
We have special treatments for expectant and nursing mothers and our reception team can talk you through the options. Please be advised that the thermal suite is not suitable for expectant mothers due to extreme heat.

SPA PRODUCTS
To continue your spa experience at home, the ESPA products used in the treatments are available at Spa reception. These natural products consist of deeply relaxing and de-stressing oils, revitalising seaweeds and nourishing creams to help achieve outstanding results on your face, body and mind.

THERMAL SUITE
Our Thermal Suite area should be a part of your spa journey with ESPA at the g. Please note that numbers are limited to preserve the spa experience for all guests. All treatments and Thermal Therapy must be booked In advance of arrival. Non-residents without a treatment €30, Residents €15, Residents and Non-Residents with a treatment €10.

Lifestyle Showers
Choose from warm tropical rain, an invigorating arctic mist option in one shower or select the rainfall cascade shower to enliven your senses.

Vitality Pool
Relax in our luxurious hydro-pool designed to revitalise the body. It is equipped with water jet features to massage shoulders and hips as well as a seated area with air jets to gently massage the entire body. The Vitality pool operates at a temperature of 36°C. **Not suitable for swimming**

 

Rock Sauna
A traditional wood-lined sauna using dry heat-generating sweltering temperatures of 80°C – 100°C. High temperatures are said to stimulate blood circulation and boost the immune system. Recommend no more than 15 minutes.

Crystal Steam Room
A high humidity environment combined with aromatic essential oils which help to keep your skin supple and hydrated. Steam also has positive effects on the respiratory system. The average temperature in the steam room is 45°C – 50°C.

Tepidarium Heated Lounger
Following the water and sauna experiences, enjoy the heated mosaic stone loungers with radiant heat to harmonize the body. Please ensure you use a towel to protect sensitive skin as the temperature can rise to 40°C.

Ice Fountain
Use the crushed ice to counteract the warming effects of the thermal experiences.
